The Slow Speed WIM (Weigh-In-Motion) Scale platform is supported by two double shear beam load bars. One 3 m x 0.610 m (10 ft x 2 ft) scale platform is used per lane. The SSWIM steel frame is cast in a concrete vault installation and the weigh pads are bolted to the frame using high strength bolts. The SSWIM scale can accommodate a capacity of at least 20 tons per axle.

The SSWIM scale is used for low speed or static weighing and/or low speed vehicle classification applications. The SSWIM technology is a mid-cost weight monitoring package ideal for checking weight compliance or low speed pre-screening.
